Math

Math Assignments:
This full-year course includes the study of the use of whole numbers and decimals, data and graphing, multiplying and dividing whole numbers and decimals, number theory and fractions, operations with fractions, geometry and algebra, measurement, and ratio, percent, and probability. Teaching estimation, mental math, and a variety of problem solving strategies develops number sense. Students become more effective problem solvers as they learn to apply their reading skills and the process of reasoning to solve word problems and puzzles.


Math homework is assigned on a daily basis. A long term project is usually assigned each quarter. Please check the fifth grade calendar for daily assignments.
