OUR KINDERGARTEN PHILOSOPHY
The Episcopal Kindergarten is a child-centered program,
which offers developmentally appropriate
activities and tasks while at the same time being
academically
challenging. The children work and play
in a safe and nurturing environment in which they
are free
to learn and explore.
Our curriculum strives to teach the whole child-meeting his social, emotional,
physical and academic needs. During each day the children will participate in
whole class learning, small group work and individual instruction. These varying
methods help the children to develop important critical thinking and problem
solving skills as well as to further cooperative learning.
Assessment of your child’s progress is done through informal observations, verbal
student responses, anecdotal records, portfolios and behavioral and academic
checklists.
Our Episcopal Kindergarten is devoted to the task of working with you to create
