Quarter Beginning Woodwinds
| Our beginning woodwind students
have made amazing progress on their instruments this quarter.
The students have learned about the care and assembly of their
instrument as well as the proper hand position, embouchure formation,
and the process of tone production. The students can now read
basic music notation and perform simple melodies. Please encourage
them to continue practicing at home during second quarter because
they will be combined with the brass players in the Band Christmas
Concert on Wednesday December 13 at 7:00PM in the VPAC. I hope
you will consider placing your child in the combined band in
4th quarter. |
