The College Preparatory Program
The Middle School program places great emphasis on study techniques,
logical thinking, time management and personal responsibility.
The program includes yearly course work in English, mathematics,
social studies, science, foreign language, religion and physical
education. Our Information Technology integration at all grade
levels builds strong information literacy skills. Faculty
grade-level teams work together to coordinate and integrate
the curriculum. Additionally, the enrichment program provides
students with choices from a wide range of elective opportunities.
These experiences provide settings for students to discover
their unique talents and interests and to make important contributions
to the life of the school.
Students in grades 6-12 are divided into two
divisions, Middle School and Upper School. The academic programs of both represent
a seven-year college preparatory curriculum.
This academic program provides broad training in the liberal arts and sciences
and stresses independent thinking, writing, critical reading, discipline,
and creativity. Homework and outside preparation are required.
As they progress through the program, students will have an opportunity
to select courses in accord with their strengths, interests, and college plans.
