Hurricane Lili Update: Wednesday, October 2, 2002
|
EBRP public schools will be closed on Thursday because of Hurricane
Lili. Our policy is that we do what they do and so we will also be closed.
—Thursday
—Friday
—Saturday
| Wednesday, October
2: |
- All activities will take place as scheduled.
- So long as there is power, the web, e-mail and voice mail
servers will remain up. After 4 PM all other data systems will
be shut down to avoid damage. This means that faculty and students
will not have remote access to their personal folders.
|
| Thursday,
October 3: |
- No school or athletic events or practices will be
held.
|
| Friday,
October 4: |
- Pay attention to the media
information about EBR Parish public schools. If they
are closed, we will also be closed.
- If classes are held Friday,
the Upper School will follow a Day 2 schedule
and then a 45 minute
class schedule on Monday like the one we followed after
Isidore. If we do not return until Monday, it will be a regular
Day 2.
- The football game will
be played on Friday according to schedule if both competing
schools have classes on Friday. Otherwise, the game will be
moved to 5:00 PM on Sunday, October 6th.
- Because the front lawn is likely to be
wet even if we do have school on Friday, we will cancel the
blessing of animals for this year.
|
| Saturday,
October 5: |
- The Junior Cheerleading
Clinic has been rescheduled for October 19th.
- The Japanese workshop
has been cancelled and will be rescheduled.
- The SAT Prep. Class will
be cancelled if school is not held Friday.
- The JV Volleyball Tournament
at Parkview Baptist School will take place as scheduled.
