Two Episcopal teams ranked in the top four in the state in the
spring Stock Market Game, which is sponsored by the Louisiana Council
for Economic Education and ran from Jan. 18 to April 29.
Fifth-graders Morgan M., Katherine B., Libby B.and Victoria B.
placed third in state out of 184 teams and second in the region
out of 91 teams.
Fifth-graders Lauren Y., Victoria H., Elisabeth B. and Gabby K.
placed fourth in the state and third in the region.
The fifth-graders were the only lower school students competing
against high school teams and one middle school team.
According to The Stock Market Game website, the program reinforces
skills in math, language arts, social studies, critical thinking,
decision-making, cooperation, research and economics.
