Pam Goodner has been selected as a state finalist in the Presidential
Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching Program.
Pam will be honored at a BESE Recognition Ceremony and Luncheon
at the Governor’s Mansion on September 20, 2007. The program,
administered by the National Science Foundation on behalf of the
White House, identifies outstanding mathematics and science teachers,
kindergarten through grade 12, in each state. Awardees are recognized
as highly qualified teachers who have both a deep content knowledge
of their subject and the ability to motivate and enable students
to achieve success. The Presidential Award is the highest honor
bestowed by the United States Government on classroom teachers
of math and science.
