Episcopal is proud to announce that seven students have been recognized
by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.
Five students qualified as semifinalists in the National Merit
competition when, as juniors at Episcopal, they took the PSAT/NMSQT.
These students
are: Erica Grilletta, daughter of Trent and Ann Massengale and
Xavier and Claudette Grilletta; Haley Johnson, daughter of Frederick
and Derren Johnson; Robyn
Jones,
daughter of Terry and Katherine Jones; Caitie Miller, daughter
of David and Renee Miller; and Taylor Peak, son of Craig and
Libby
Peak.
In addition, two students were recognized as Commended Scholars
for their performance on the PSAT/NMSQT. They are: Colin Baldridge,
son of Charles and Betty Baldridge , and Adam Grenier, son of Dr.
Christopher and Andrea Grenier.
Episcopal has had 18 students recognized by the National Merit
Scholarship Program in the last two years. More than 1.4 million
juniors from nearly 21,000 high schools entered the National Merit
Program. As semifinalists, students have an opportunity to compete
for some 8,200 merit scholarship awards worth approximately $33
million that will be offered next spring.
