Penniman Award winners were recently honored at a luncheon hosted by G. Allen Penniman, Jr. in the Alumni House parlor. The Penniman Award, created in honor of the late Mary Virginia Crain Penniman, is awarded to the most outstanding English student at each grade level in the Middle School. The 2007 award winners were Elizabeth C. for 8th grade, Neal C. for 7th grade and Elizabeth P. for 6th grade. Ninth grade award winner, Katherine S., also attended the luncheon along with Episcopal 5th grade teacher Margaret Boudreaux, Mr. Penniman’s daughter.
