Playground Donations

Episcopal 3rd grader, Sara Be is very excited about Episcopal’s new playground. Sara has been excited since the first time she heard about the playground and saw the presentation for “Outside Lies Possibility: The Joy and Magic of Play. Sara was so inspired that she began to save her money so that she could do her part to insure that the playground would be built. She wanted the playground for her friends and for her little brother James who will be coming to Episcopal as a new Kindergarten student this fall.
On June 7, Sara, accompanied by her mother and little brother came to school to present her donation to Ms. Jody Kennard. Ms. Kennard was delighted and very grateful to receive not only Sara’s gift, but matching funds from Sara’s mother, Candy Be. This kind of support and the support of all the playground donors and “Community Build” volunteers is what makes Episcopal such a great community to belong to. Sara and James enjoyed a “test” drive on the playground equipment. Together they sampled the slides, climbed to the top of the Playweb, climbed the towers and sampled the many imaginative extras that are housed in the towers. Sara and James also got a close-up look and feel for what may become the favorite of many, the T-Rex Dinosaur.
Thank you Sara for your generous and thoughtful gift. We hope that you and all of your Episcopal friends enjoy hours of wonderful play and exercise on the new playground.
