Wide Counseling Programs
School Wide Counseling Programs:
EMPOWER program: A nationally
acclaimed program for adolescents that focuses on friendships,
bullying, cliques, and dating. Rosalind Wiseman, author
of QueenBees and WannaBees, is the founder of
this program. Portions of the curricula called "Owning
Up" is being implemented throughout all divisions
through small groups and retreats.
Character Education Program: Each division
emphasizes a character trait each month to encourage moral
behavior in our students. Traits are discussed through
advisory and skits are performed in morning meetings.
Substance Abuse Prevention: education
and activities promoting a healthy lifestyle and remaining
drug free are implemented school wide.
Parent to Parent program: A video
based program aimed at strengthening parental skills
and building confidence in today's "Toxic Culture."
This program was founded by Bill Oliver and is sponsored
by Parent's Guild and being implemented by Episcopal
Parents across all divisions. Please visit the Parent

Coordinated Classroom
Counseling Lessons and Wellness Events:
Counselors visit classes in their division to provide
lessons on topics such as changing friendships, bullying,
leadership, character education, stress management, substance
abuse prevention and study skills.
Wellness events is a means to provide effective health
education life skills for students of all ages. Specific
services under this program include classroom guidance
activities on topics pertaining to drug and alcohol abuse,
smoking, violence, mental health, safety, sexuality, and
nutrition.
I CARE program/Substance
Abuse Prevention: Episcopal counseling department
has a comprehensive sustance abuse prevention program
and works closely with our I CARE representative to coordinate
monthly programs and activities that focus on drug and
alcohol awareness and prevention.
