on the 4th Wed. of every month from 11:3- 12:30pm in the
Alumni House Parlor Room

Mentoring
Program -
Purpose: To assist new US students in
becoming acclimated to the high school environment by
linking them with a returning EHS student.
The returning EHS student's responsibilities are to orient
the new student to the campus, introduce him/her to other
students, be available to answer questions, show them
around campus, explain different sports, visual & performing
art programs, encourage participation in extracurricular
activities, and explain the Honor Code.
Goals: To decrease initial anxiety experienced
by new students when entering a new school. To provide
an immediate support network and mentor.
Duration: For the initial 6 weeks of
school

Wellness
Program will be presented each month
throughout the year in the classroom setting. Topics for
each month TBA.

Professional
Speakers will present periodically
at assembly time throughout the year.

We will recognize and support the I CARE program in it's awareness efforts
during the following months:
October - Red Ribbon Week (Anti-drug campaign)
November - The Great American Smokeout
April - Alcohol Awareness month

Small
Focus Groups will be conducted on an
"as needed" basis. Some groups will be offered only to girls,
some only to boys and some co-ed groups.

Counseling is always available.

Network and/or Educational Gatherings
Parent to Parent is:
• For parents of all ages
• Facilitated by the parents for parents
• A parental network
• A video based program
• Eight individual sessions aimed at strengthening
parental skills and building confidence in this Toxic Culture

Empower Program:
a nationally acclaimed program for adolescents that focuses
on friendships, bullying, cliques, and dating. Rosalin Wiseman,
author of Queenbees and Wannabees, is the founder of this
program.
