Internet Safety

GetNetWise
GetNetWise is a public service brought to you by Internet industry corporations and public interest organizations to help ensure that families have safe, constructive, and educational or entertaining online experiences.


Safe Kids
The website provides information on the benefits and risks associated with using the Internet. Additionally, it provides information for parents and teachers to use as guidelines on Internet safety.


Cyber Smart
This first-of-its-kind, K-8 Curriculum co-published with Macmillan/McGraw-Hill Publishers is available free of charge to educators. The site also provides good information for parents.

NetSmartz
NetSmartz is a website that promotes the NetSmartz Workshop for parents, educators, and law enforcement. Their goal is to extend the safety awareness of children to prevent victimization and increase self-confidence whenever they go online. Many valuable resources are available here for parents and children.

Chat Danger
Chat Danger is sponsored by Net Benefit which hosts the site freely as a way of contributing to the important work that Childnet is doing to help make the Internet a great place for children. This site is designed to give parents a heads up about chat rooms.


Children's Partnership
This nonprofit organization offers a Parents' Guide to the Information Superhighway and other information to help keep kids safe online.

Family Guide Book
This site explains how to keep your kids safe in cyberspace. It includes information for parents, students, teachers, law enforcement, and web novices.

Web Wise Kids
This site helps parents teach their children about online safety awareness. It provides advice, workshops, statistics, and more.
